DISTRIBUTION: Northern British Columbia to central Baja California. 


 HABITAT: Among giant kelp, usually in kelp canopy.

 DIET: Algae and small invertebrates

 REPRODUCTION and DEVELOPMENT: Viviparous ( Livebearer), female carries the developing young. Breed in fall and early winter, spawn in spring.
